Came across a great resource for anyone with preschoolers - Shirley's Preschool Activities!  Not only a resource for free worksheets, but she explains fine motor skills and talks about development of fine motor skills also.  Fine motor control (or skills) is the coordination of muscular, bone and neurological functions to produce small, precise movements such as picking up a small item with the index finger and thumb.
These skills require time, patience and plenty of practice.
